I have a Reliant sand filter Model S314T and it doesn’t have a waste setting only has: backwash, filtration, rinse a winter setting but it has waste opening that its closed. My question is which setting shall I used to discharge the waste

I'm curious when I can use my dolphin oasis pool cleaner for the first time..I just bought it and haven't used it. I hired a pool company for green to clean and after 6 visits 90% of the debris is gone..but still a lot of algae piles..do I have to vacuum to waste all of it out before putting the dolphin in for the first time? This is the first year I'm using a robot to clean pool I fought it the year before with manual vacuum and just didn't have the time to maintain. Would love to know if your're in Fla, Tampa, area. I have a 25,000 gallon in ground kidney shape pool which is very dark green and needs to be vacuumed, etc. my hubby used to take care of it but he passed away 4years ago. Now the bottom of the deep end is 10ft deep and the shallow end is 3 -1/2 feet deep. 3 years ago I did take care of it myself but I am 71 yrs old now and need help cleaning it. I don't touch the breaker box which is 240 amps. If I could find someone who could just vacuum it all out, I can do the rest. Pinch a Penny wants $800 to do this which is very expensive. Can you help?

Every one of these videos they show someone very easily clear a dark, incredibly dirty and algae filled, pool. I clean and chlorinate my pool regularly, and it still turns and stays green even after shocking. Now my pool is alkaline and green and I have no other ideas. I'm just going to pay to get it cleaned from now on.

Hey brother, NEW SUBSCRIBER HERE, I Want To Thank You for your videos, I am trying to learn here. Current Status of pool is HORRIFIC. I "need to" learn to manage my own pool because I am disabled with no income so putting out needless funds on a service is not really ideal for me. I was doing it but kept getting screwed over in one way or another, so now I am going to figure this out if it kills me. LOL

Thanks for a great video! Being unfamiliar with the system, is the backwash line/drain and the waste line/drain the same- the difference being one enters after the filter (backwash) and one bypasses and comes directly through the MPV (waste)? Thanks for your help!!

How do they just sit under water? I know they have to breathe. I never understood how frogs/toads and turtles do that. I thought they had to breathe more often than that.

But what I don't like about these is that then the leaves go into your pump and you have old leaves decomposing in your pump and filling it up. They need to put some sort of filter leaf catch on these. I don't understand how they don't have these.

Hello, I got an above ground pool, holds about 18,000 gallons, I starter the 24hr prosses, My pump system is a salt water system it produce his own chlorine. it got up to 12hr of chlorination, how many hours should I set up the chlorine setting while doing this processes ? Thank you for your time

I was wondering what that rinse was for 🤦🏽‍♀️….every time I backed wash dirt would spill back into the pool when I put it on filter.

U wanna keep ur filter on when u add floc. I worked in commercial pools for 24 years and we had view ports on our filters. The floc creates a film on the sand bed and creates a layer of finer filtration than the sand. Also stops u having to do as much vaccing in the pool too. You can also extend the life of ur sand in the filter by adding hypo to the filter (40-60ppm) for at least an hour then backwash multiple times. Dirt over time binds to the sand and reduces efficiency. The shock dose to sand breaks a lot of the dirt off the sand

Thank you so much for making this video, following it exactly has helped me twice now......a little advice for everyone that's using this as a guide.....save it to a play list, you will need it MUCH sooner than you hope, these motors typically don't last long even when installed correctly. This is by far the best instructional video for this exact pump motor replacement.

Another tip: put your vacuum hose in front of your return to fill it with water.

Great video and info; thank you! My pool cover operated fine yesterday; today it opens only about one foot, and can close that foot it does open. The ropes seem to be fine in the tracks and I don't see obvious debris around the reel. Thoughts? It's in the 90's in Cincinnati, OH. Thanks

Quick question., I purchased a new pump and it has 3 air bleeders. After removing the screw in plug. There isn't a hole? Do I drill one?

Why are you not showing how to get the laterals in and out? i feel like the hole is way to small to return that back in there and it was broken to get it out. Basically a square peg through a round hole here!

I'm gonna sneak and do this tonight. My boyfriend insists that shock and chlorine are 2 totally different things, we have chlorine but no "shock". Shock is just basically over chlorination, right? He also topped the water off a good 2ft while pool is swampy green...I have a feeling that was wrong too. It's gonna be a miracle if it can be fixed without draining.

legend mate, clear simple and understandable instructions. just moved to a new house and the old owner didn't give me too much detail on how to use and clean the pool, not the first home i've owned that has a pool, just a way different system, so this helps clear up any un-answered questions, cheers mate

I have used this product for a couple of years. My biggest complaint is the vapor's. It's not pleasant to breathe. I doubt that it's harmful. It's just an unpleasant smell.

I test strip it and my reading: total hardness = 120, total chlorine =1, free chlorine =0, Bromine =0, total Alkalinity =80, cyanuric acid = 0, PH = 7.6 Another guy on you told says if you have normal or low chlorine and Ph is 7.6 its microscopic add another 4 gals of shock. Sorry for the burden my sons' friends want to get into the pool.

Ok, found this video by complete accident. Opened my pool a few days ago, got it cleaned up and chemicals perfect by the end of the day. That night I shocked it and scrubbed the entire pool. Day 2, I vacuumed the pool but it seemed a little cloudy (for the first week I keep the filter running 24/7). Checked chemicals, all good. Day 3, water is crystal clear but there’s this stuff at the bottom of the deep end, like shown in the video. I vacuum again but then immediately backwash the filter as soon as I was finished. Day 4, water is crystal clear, chemicals are perfect but there’s about half the amount of the same stuff at the bottom of the deep end. I’m guessing I need to vacuum to waste to get rid of all of it. I’m glad I stumbled across this video, thank you for sharing!

Hi Some pool technicians say it’s better to drain because there’s a high chance it’s coming back. Is that true? And is it cheaper to just drain? One thing I’d like to comment on, I think its better not to use waste mode when vacuuming. It throws away the chlorine. That’s why I guess the chlorine level dropped here

I never heard of putting the flock or frock into the sand filter will that help more some how can you explain?

What size is that bolt in the middle of the impeller? Opened mine up and there wasn’t even one.
